Job Description

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Regional Finance Controller to establish the finance function and implement accounting and cash management systems.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations and ensure coordination across departments.
  • Develop and enforce financial processes with strong internal controls aligned with company policies.



1. Accounting & Reporting

  • Implement a suitable accounting system aligned with both company and group reporting requirements.
  • Set up a compliant Chart of Accounts and migrate historical data.
  • Lead month-end closings and submit the General Ledger in line with company schedule.
  • Ensure accurate balance sheet management, inter company reconciliations, inventory valuation, and statutory compliance.



2. Revenue, Invoicing & Receivables

  • Coordinate with Operations to prepare and issue customer invoices.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accruals and monitor collections and DSO in collaboration with the regional team.
  • Resolve invoicing or collection issues through direct customer engagement.



3. Accounts Payable

  • Oversee the timely processing and payment of vendor invoices, ensuring proper matching with purchase orders and goods receipts, while maintaining efficient cash flow management in coordination with Operations.



4. Cash Management & Forecasting

  • Maintain and update short-term cash flow forecasts weekly via Cash Analytics.
  • Plan liquidity needs and address potential deficits with the Regional Controller.
  • Support bank account administration.



5. Tax Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing and payment of CIT, WHT, and VAT.
  • Respond to tax authority inquiries and keep the Regional Controller informed of regulatory changes.
  • Maximize VAT offsets against liabilities.



6. Audits - Statutory & Group

  • Manage timely month-end closings to support both group and statutory audits.
  • Coordinate audit time lines with auditors and stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.

The Successful Applicant

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar scope of work.
  • Strong knowledge of Turkish GAAP and IFRS.
  • Experience in implementing new accounting systems.
  • In-depth understanding of Turkish tax regulations and compliance procedures.
  • Proficiency in both Turkish and English, spoken and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, vendors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.



Knowledge & Abilities

  • Strong expertise in accounting and finance.
  • Experience with SME accounting systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong awareness of regulatory directives related to the planning, monitoring, and control of daily finance operations.
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of OMS standards, processes, and procedures.
