Job Description

  • Manage and execute the sales process to meet and exceed revenue quotas in CIS market;
  • Employ consultative sales techniques to cultivate referrals, generate new opportunities, actively follow up on leads, and drive a healthy pipeline characterized by strong velocity and volume;
  • Proactively seek out engaging new customer groups while collaborating with marketing and sales specialists to convert prospects into sales, with a keen focus on acquiring new customers;
  • Leverage insights gained from client interactions and input from other functions to provide maximum value and achieve optimal results for Commodity Insights;
  • Conduct monthly activity reporting that includes feedback on client and market developments that impact the business;
  • Provide accurate forecasting against pipeline achievements and annual contract value;
  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial Director for the region to establish a robust and consistent strategy while ensuring that all leads, activities, and customer needs are captured in a timely manner.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Commercial Manager should have:

  • Having a bachelor's degree;
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience maintaining total sales, preferably in commodity or energy sector;
  • Understanding of commodities markets, with direct experience in the energy sector-particularly oil and gas-is highly desirable;
  • Consultative sales and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent communication and presentation (verbal/ written) skills;
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-national global accounts, having a solid understanding of the CIS market, along with a network of contacts across Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and other key CIS jurisdictions, is highly valuable;
  • Proven success in handling complex contract negotiations;
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, able to prioritize;
  • Competent with systems (Oracle, SalesForce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Fluency in both Russian and English is essential. The candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders;
