We are looking for a Fashion Merchandiser for the sourcing office of one of the largest retail brands in the Middle East, based in Turkey. This position will be part of a global team, working closely with international stakeholders to ensure the seamless management of fashion merchandise sourcing.Location: Nişantaşı / On-site ( Monday to Friday)

About Our Client

Our client is a leading retail brand in the Middle East.

Job Description

  • Selection of supplier and all kind of fabric qualities.
    • Price negotiation, target price, and quantity.
    • Make sure the fabric selection will be up to brand standard.
    • Taking care of all the production issues/discussing with the manager and designer.
    • Taking care of whole collection after designer finished her part.
    • Coordinate with logistics for transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
    • Follow timeline from Kuwait headquarters to achieve delivery of collection.
    • Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
    • Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders.
    • Make sure to understand testing the product laboratory and reading the report and giving approval as per company standards.
    • Able to read technical packs and review with design dept before delivering to suppliers.
    • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones.
    • Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
    • All the pattern and fitting comments/color comments/ fabric quality comments to be prepared with designer and send to suppliers.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • A degree in Textile, Fashion, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a comparable position, preferably in the textile/fashion industry
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High sense of fashion and trend awareness
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Proficient in using relevant software and tools
  • Strong organizational skills with attentionn to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
