We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Procurement Category Manager to lead a broad indirect procurement portfolio within a dynamic, large-scale operation. This role will be responsible for developing category strategies, driving sourcing initiatives, managing supplier relationships, and leading a procurement team while partnering closely with business stakeholders across multiple functions.

Job Description

  • Develop and execute category management and sourcing strategies across multiple indirect procurement categories.
  • Lead supplier selection, tendering, negotiation, contracting, and supplier performance management activities.
  • Manage procurement activities covering areas such as:
    • Supply Chain & Logistics
    • Warehousing & Transportation
    • Field Operations
    • Information Technology & Cyber Security
    • Marketing & Corporate Communications
    • Digital & Online Marketing
    • Sales & Commercial Functions
    • HR, Finance, Legal and other Corporate Services
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted procurement business partner.
  • Drive cost optimization, value creation, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Lead contract lifecycle management and ensure governance and compliance across procurement activities.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of procurement specialists.
  • Support business transformation projects and continuously improve procurement processes and capabilities.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, preferably covering indirect procurement and category management activities.
  • Proven experience managing multiple procurement categories and complex sourcing projects.
  • Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost-saving and value-creation initiatives.
  • Previous team management or leadership experience.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with procurement systems and ERP platforms (SAP knowledge is a plus).
  • Fluent English communication skills.
