Job Description

  • In close collaboration with the Business Partner of the relevant country/countries, identifies, organizes, and proactively participates in appropriate compliance and investigation trainings, networking events, and other relevant training activities to support professional development;
  • Oversees the localization of globally provided policies, training content, or other materials to meet local requirements and ensures quality assurance;
  • Independently monitors, analyzes, assesses, and documents local business operations, processes, structures, relationships, and external developments; independently implements appropriate controls supporting an effective Compliance Program;
  • Manages local compliance advisory activities, particularly in situations requiring consultation with local management, thereby ensuring compliance awareness and effective management of potential compliance risks;
  • Identifies potential risks and initiates appropriate (preventive) remedial actions; provides practical solutions to mitigate compliance risks and supports their implementation, taking internal and external impacts into account;
  • Provides or coordinates regular and ad hoc compliance training for local employees as required;
  • Monitors regulatory developments and adapts the Compliance Program accordingly; for example, by participating in events and associations or conducting relevant research;
  • Ensures and oversees regular and ad hoc information flow to and from the Global Compliance Department and other Ethics & Compliance Officers to maintain effective collaboration;
  • Manages regular reporting processes to internal and external stakeholders and ensures quality assurance;

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in Compliance (considered an asset)
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Compliance and/or Risk Management, preferably within the healthcare sector
  • International experience is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Fluency in English and the local language
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and strong cross-cultural communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand, learn, and adapt to new and complex tasks
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and sense of responsibility
  • Sound decision-making skills and creative thinking ability
  • Flexibility, willingness to travel, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
