“The IADP experience is ideal for personal development with tremendous learning opportunities and vast possibilities. I was assigned to projects in the Finance Department where skills such as interpersonal savvy, ambiguity handling, project pacing, systemic thinking, communication and peer-relationship have been strongly stretched.

GMF is truly an international company. For instance, I deal almost daily with individuals from the UK, USA, India, Mexico, and others. The IADP community itself spreads throughout the branches and is a great networking environment.

Regarding the day-to-day life, I take part in meetings concerning new system implementation, financial processes, and projects issues. At the moment, there are also tasks such as data analysis, process mapping, and reporting in order to meet specific demands.

The fact that GMF is expanding opens up an array of opportunities for rapid growth and true impact which is nothing but thrilling.”

"Accepting the GM Financial job-offer was by far one of the best decisions I have ever made. My first placement is in Retail MEC (Middle European Cluster), where I perform the job of a project manager. My tasks include problem-solving and optimization in purely retail area, but also intensive work on joint projects with colleagues from compliance, risk, finance, BPI, wholesale and IT. Thus, I’ve been exposed to all major functions and operations within a very short period of time. All the way through I’ve been not only challenged, but also strongly supported by my manager, highly experienced mentor, buddy and a very cooperative HR team who accelerated my integration into the company. And last but not least – this is an environment where I’m able to juggle five languages on daily basis."

"My first IADP placement has been amazing.  As the programmer assigned to work in the Consumer Credit department I am able to develop a holistic view of the area and how it relates to other departments. Every day there is something new to be learnt and I feel that I am really contributing to the achievements of the department. I am constantly exposed to new situations and encouraged to act pro-actively. The empowerment I receive from my managers is a key factor to the success of my projects and the development of a wide set of skills. I’m very much looking forward to the challenges ahead."

"The IADP is an awesome programme to start a new career. Our development is highly valued, we have many and valuable trainings, not only on techniques but also on relationships, comportments, self-knowledge and many others.

We are also provided with a mentor, someone senior in the company that guides us through the challenges, allowing us to achieve greater success, so that we have easy access to many senior and key executives in the company, giving us great opportunities for development and networking.
